Bush Ties Iran to Iraqi BombsPosted on Mar 13, 2006The president asserts that many of the roadside bombs in Iraq--which have proved so deadly to U.S. forces--originate in Iran.
AFP: President George W. Bush directly linked Tehran to roadside bombings against US forces in Iraq, stepping up his criticisms of Iran amid a tense standoff over its nuclear program. “Tehran has been responsible for at least some of the increasing lethality of anti-coalition attacks by providing Shia militia with the capability to build improvised explosive devices in Iraq,” Bush said in a speech. He cited recent congressional testimony from John Negroponte, the US director of national intelligence. The president’s comments came as he launched a public relations offensive to bolster support for the war in Iraq some three years after he ordered the US-led invasion that ousted Saddam Hussein. I just heard on Hardball that Peter Pace, the joint chief of Staff, directly contradicted Bush and said that he saw no evidence of Iran supplying IEDs.
Report thisWhen the military stops to support Bush, he can’t hold his grip much longer and his presidency will end quickly and unexpectedly.

Well, the real issue is that the stenoraphers let W get away with re-telling a fabrication that lived for too many months before the Blair/Straw perpetrators finally had to admit it was not true.
Report thisCan you imagine that any reporter didn’t know it was both a lie and tomorrow’s catchy headline?
And that they then went with giving W the headline rather than a bar of soap to wash out his mouth for just another of the so many lies we have come to expect?
The media.

My prediction: a U.S. military attack on Iran, just in time for the 2006 elections.

Well this is only fair if even true. The USA is playing the hypocrite here. Was it not the same USA who supplied Iraq with weapons and even the very same weapons of mass destruction during the Iran-Iraq War for years against the poor Iranian people. So why should Iran all of a sudden not supply its neighbor if it seems fit. Ponder on that and realize the unilateral world we live in.
