Editor and Publisher:

A Gallup report released today reveals that more than half of all Americans, rejecting evolution theory and scientific evidence, agree with the statement, “God created man exactly how Bible describes it.”

Another 31% says that man did evolve, but “God guided.” Only 12% back evolution and say “God had no part.”

Gallup summarized it this way: “Surveys repeatedly show that a substantial portion of Americans do not believe that the theory of evolution best explains where life came from.” They are “not so quick to agree with the preponderance of scientific evidence.”

As much as I would enjoy throwing some ad hominem attacks at Nathaniel I’ll simply state in the interest of brevity and civility that he is completely wrong.

It would take more space than I have here to show exactly why he is wrong.  In fact, it would take exactly 139 pages.

Fortunately for all of us Judge Jones did the work for us when he drafted the decision in Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District.

Read it here:

Contrary to the summary, evolution is simply a faith based upon naturalistic presuppositions about the nature of science.  The Bible is supported by vast amounts of historical evidence.  In addition, microevolution is well supported by Christians.  However, macroevolution, which has no empirical evidence to support it, is rightly rejected.  Evidence from the scientic realm actually supports design theories. (If people are willing to challenge their axioms they should check out http://www.answersingenesis.org or other infromation about design.)

Yet at the same time everyone is freaking out because math and science scores are in the toilet.

The christians are determined to roll this country back into the dark ages and I have no doubt that they will succeed.
