When is the last time u read anything about the taiwan’s political division? When is the last time u tried to read news in chinese without being filtered by english media?
I doubt u can read chinese, otherwise u won’t jump into this conclusion as a reasonable person. Start learning things before u speak, otherwise u just sound like George W Bush.
chinese are peaceful and smart people, they won’t risk a war like Bush did in Iraq especially when peaceful unification is still a option.

OK, maybe all the lies have made me go over the top with paranoia (not worse than O’Liely though). But I’m seeing a lot of recursion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recursion) going on. Today’s topics show the “super-spin” self references - with everyone now helping each other to fill space for the sole purpose of either paying the mortgage or filling the ego. The presentation of facts is becoming secondary.

Example #1 - Bill hanging around daddy Bush, helping with the Dubai deal (and probably other Carlyle arrangements...after all, they both get to read the presidential daily briefs), meanwhile Hillary is going to run for President. If these folks aren’t helping each other out, to the extent of even being the straw man for the other, you are delusional.

Example #2: Crooksandliers points to huffingtonpost points to truthdig who points to Crooksandliars who points to dailykos.... I’ve even seen drudgereport point here.

Example above: Now the “anchors” at msnbc and fox are calling each other names in the ultimate recursive story! The tip off that this is just a way to spin things hit me when the former prosecutor (I’m sure that lousy paying job was a great stepping stone for an ambitious good looking woman to join any cable “news” network that pays sooo much better than the government) comes across as a perfect pitch person. Some people are born marketing people; Susan Filan does spectacularly well with this contrived controversy (I bet her msnbc job interview was a showcase). Notice how she had her “answer” ready to Keith’s first question ready to go before he finished asking. She made nailed a key sound bite “lost the plot” (and kept the marketing rule - repeat at least once more.) What a show!

So blogs, MSM, politicians are all just in for the show. Republican Inc and Democrat Inc and Presidency Inc all have an agenda that is letting this country face very severe consequences.

Here is what I think is being missed:
1. The imminent global devaluation of the US dollar. Iran and Venezuela are going to trade oil for Euros. This is the secondary and hidden reason for President Inc.’s hatred of these countries. It will immediately cause the price of oil in U.S. currency to skyrocket, with nightmares, wake-up calls and significant changes in lifestyles.

3. Tipping points are keeping the state department up at night, without President Inc. paying much attention. The assassination of Pakistan’s President will cause a huge imbalance in the region. Kazakhstan’s dictator will now be our friend (like Sadam in the 80’s) to help stabilize the region and prevent a war between India and Pakistan.
4. The Nigerian civil war will become worse as the rebels become more emboldened by perceived U.S. weakness. There might be a bright spot to this, as it will start African nations to become more helpful with each other in stamping out rebel uprisings. With oil supplies so severely stretched, drilling off Florida, California and Alaska will be a National Security priority. The U.S. will force treaties on Mexico and Canada that will essentially make them equivalent to Porto Rico (and oh will there be lots to talk about!!!). Castro’s death in 2007 will also bring discussion about Cuba joining the U.S.

These are some of the back-stories that will perhaps threaten but certainly the American way of life. We must really note the China is neither a true friend nor true enemy yet, but a competitor determined to win supremacy. I’d recommend learning the language!
