Bush Lacked Iraq Rebuilding Plan

Washington Times: The Bush administration never drew up a comprehensive plan for rebuilding Iraq after the March 2003 invasion, which contributed to a severe shortage of skilled federal workers in Baghdad and to the mismanagement of the country’s oil money, according to a new government report.

“There was insufficient systematic planning for human capital management in Iraq before and during the U.S.-directed stabilization and reconstruction operations,” said Stuart W. Bowen Jr., the special inspector general for Iraq reconstruction, in a new “lessons learned” report released yesterday. “The practical limitations ensuing from this shortfall adversely affected reconstruction in post-war Iraq.”

Truthdig says: In the last week, Bush has lost:

  • Bill O’Reilly
  • William F. Buckley
  • William Kristol
  • Now even the staunchly conservative Washington Times is giving the White House a hard time.

All of a sudden the ranks of Bush supporters seem about as robust as our “coalition of the willing.”

Like the whinning wimp he is, Kristol like all rats jump a leaking ship.
While in his arrogance he smirks, he folded when Chris Matthews asked about his signing the letter to Clinton about invading Iraq. He blamed Perle for not asking for more troops and Bush for poor exectution (of Kristol’s foolish ) of war.
Funny part this is on web a speech the dick Cheney made on 4/29/91 where he said invading Iraq and deposing Saddam would open a can of worms.

This is why Colin Powell is such as sad story. He had it nailed with the pottery barn analogy, and then—cowardly—failed to speak truth to power. General Shinseki is the military hero in this mess ... and our brave youth valiantly going “to fight the enemy” with their ideals intact. God, what a horrible mess. All that is left is for the last soldier to die.

If these three stooges now admit the truth, when will Dean, Hillary and Pelosi start screaming for an immediate withdrawl (as they should have done years ago)

The end will be when Bush loses David Brooks of the New York Times.  Brooks will likely suck up to, and apologize for, the administration as long as anyone.
