Capitol Hill Blue:

Secret Service agents guarding Vice President Dick Cheney when he shot Texas lawyer Harry Whittington on a hunting outing two weeks ago say Cheney was “clearly inebriated” at the time of the shooting.

Agents observed several members of the hunting party, including the Vice President, consuming alcohol before and during the hunting expedition, the report notes, and Cheney exhibited “visible signs” of impairment, including slurred speech and erratic actions.

According to those who have talked with the agents and others present at the outing, Cheney was drunk when he gunned down his friend and the day-and-a-half delay in allowing Texas law enforcement officials on the ranch where the shooting occurred gave all members of the hunting party time to sober up.

This story is just unsubstantiated garbage!!!!

The last really true thing written, as we all know, were these FACTS.

Hillary killed Vince Foster
Clinton was a drug dealer
He also had dozens killed in Arkansas
He also killed his commerce secretary, Ron Brown
Trying to kill Bin Laden was just a distraction from Monica
etc etc etc

You liberal are really looney leftist smear merchants!

Does Sylvie think she she is somehow obligated tell us what to write, what to read? Or is she just in a pissy mood? Maybe she and her ill-tempered remarks would be happier elsewhere….don’t let the door hit you on the ass as you leave, babe.

Comments 4202 and 4219 - So you find this hard to believe because of the lack of a credible source, did you believe whitewater?  Did you believe the swiftboat ads?  Did you believe that Al Gore claimed to invent the internet?  Did you believe that Iraq was a threat to us or that they had WMD’s or connections to Iraq?  None of those stories had credible sources, they were supported by partisan political hacks.

While I am not ready to take this story as the truth because of the lack of verifiable sources and the lack of a coroborating stories, I am ready to believe that Dick Cheney was drunk because of the behavior after the incident.

I noticed that 4219 was also dismissing this as yesterday’s news but the truth is that if you watch FoxNews or listen to any of the right-wing hacks on the radio you will get at least one “Blame Clinton” moment every half hour and 4 or 5 “Monica” references a day.  I don’t see you claiming that this makes the right look bad.

The right has also claimed that the shooting was a private matter and shouldn’t be news.  So can anyone tell me how a blow-job was a public matter?

The true story hear is the cover-up and the total disregard for the law.  And those on the right, politicians and supporters alike, have clearly shown that getting their way is far more important than the laws of this country including the constitution.

These kinds of articles are what make the left look bad. There are no direct, confirmed sources for the material in this piece. There is no guarentee for its validity. It’s plain garbage. “The sourcing on this is sort of vague, but the reportoer has good credentials?” The writer of this piece certainly doesn’t.

OF COURSE CHENEY WAS DRUNK. Why is this news? why are you wasting our time?

Cheney being drunk during a hunting accident is LAST WEEK’S NEWS. What is going on today? Why is your front page dominated by the Oklahoma City bombing? How is that information going to affect the future in ANY way? you think THAT is going to get these tyrants out of the White House? Think again. You think that by pointing out that Cheney was “clearly inebriated” is going to make the right wing conservatives support him any less? The man’s putting money in their wallet, so as far as they’re concerned, he can be as drunk as he wants to be. Nice use of quotations by the way - but who is your source? Your imaginary friend?

I’d find another profession if I were you. Your writing and your information is a waste of time, a waste of space on this website.

So the vice-president-king-guy wouldn’t allow the police to come on the crime scene and investigate until he felt like he could pass a drug/alcohol screen.
Truly we are a nation of laws; but as usual, only the ones our masters choose to obey at the time.

The scource is vague…But he has good credentials! The scource wouldn’t be a Democrat would it?
Why do you print such crap when you can’t substantiate it? Newspaper sales must be bad or your realy trying for a Pullitzer Prize with this one. I don’t see how you can expect people to believe what you print when they look at it objectivly and scratch thier heads and mumble “idiots” and we are supposed to believe this crap.

Arrogant? - yes. Egotistical? - yes. Self-will run riot? - yes. Inebriated while hunting? Whya would we assume not?

I would most certainly believe what Secret Service people are saying about Cheney being drunk before I would believe anything coming out of this honesty impaired White House and Republican Party.
