What’s with the cameraman? He should be shot - some of the most evillist grunts I’ve ever heard. Like he was having an orgasm watching kids get beat up. What a sicko and what a disgrace.

Sir Thomas Beecham, who died in 1961, wrote: “When the history of the first half of this (20th) century comes to be written - properly written - it will be acknowledged the most stupid and brutal in the history of civilization.”

Lovely words… “stupid” and “brutal.” What Beecham didn’t consider is the possibility that humankind, evolution notwithstanding, could become even more STUPID and BRUTAL in the first half of the 21st century!

But before I jump on the bandwagon of tongue-waggers I’d like to state the obvious lest we forget: when you have a hammer in your hand, EVERYTHING looks like a nail. Why are we surprised that those who are hired and trained to wield “hammers,” actually USE them?

Do you think abusing others in the battlefield an honorable thing to do, while abusing them in the alley, dishonorable? Oh, I see, one is “justifiable” terrorism while the other is not. Might I ask that if the situation was reversed… the boys had the guns and batons and boots, and caught the soldiers only in shirts and skivvys, do you think the boys would have uttered a “tsk, tsk” and let them go? My bet would be that the boys would have MURDERED every single one of them.

Stupid and brutal. That’s us! And until we get global leadership that is slightly more enlightened than what’s currently available, the world will go on being a stupid and brutal place.

Sometimes I think we humans are no more than spitting distance out of the cave on our path to glory. The only thing I see that’s changed is now, in addition to clubs and rocks, we use rockets and bombs and poisons to brutalize whoever we’ve demonized. Nice stupid and brutal bunch, aren’t we?

I guess these soldiers must have been absent the day the lecture was given about not commiting “stupid and brutal” acts WHEN THE CAMERA IS ON. Jeez.

This is just one incident that was caught on tape.

Imagine the number of incidents that have not been.

Incidents like this have been going on in the US since the days of slavery. Now we are exporting it to the world. Hiring the torture troops from aparthide South Africa, hiring private troops from the brutal and racist U.S. prison complex.

WE ARE TORTURERS
WE ARE BUTCHERS.
WE PROFIT FROM WAR.
WE RULE THROUGH OPPRESSION.
WE SUPPORT TYRANNY, SUPPRESS DEMOCRACY.
WE DO NOT WANT PEACE WE WANT POWER AND POWER.
WE ARE EVIL.

There comes a time when silence is betrayal!!
