Abramoff-Bush Photo SurfacesPosted on Feb 11, 2006
The New York Times: WASHINGTON, Feb. 11—After weeks in which the White House has declined to release pictures of President Bush with Jack Abramoff, the disgraced lobbyist, the first photograph to be published of the two men shows a small, partly obscured image of Mr. Abramoff looking on from the background as Mr. Bush greets a Texas Indian chief in May 2001. By itself, the picture hardly seems worthy of the White House’s efforts to keep it out of the public eye. Mr. Abramoff, a leading Republican fund-raiser who pleaded guilty last month to conspiring to corrupt public officials, is little more than a blurry, bearded figure in the background at a gathering of about two dozen people. | story Previous item: Air Force Eases Rules on Religion Next item: Cheney Accidentally Shoots Hunting Partner Elsewhere: . This picture is very damaging to this corrupt administration. Abramoff is under indictment for scamming millions from Indian tribes by claiming he had influence in Washington, This put the cart with the horse!!! No wonder Georgie and Co. didn’t want this to get out. This isn’t the stiff posed picture at some Washington mixer that GWB claimed it was, this is the the president at the scene of the crime for Gods sake!

Why would you want to prevent this photo from being released? Everyone looks so happy in this picture. Was I going to automatically suspect that Bush was tied to Abramoff by this photo? The events leading up to this photo release lead me to believe that there is MORE going on than what’s been shown to the press; it merely arouses more suspicion. What else is going on, Mr. President?
