Washington Post: MOSCOW, Jan. 31—Russian President Vladimir Putin described the electoral victory of the radical Islamic group Hamas in the Palestinian elections as “a big blow to American efforts in the Middle East, a very serious blow,” but he said Russia would not support any efforts to cut off financial assistance to the Palestinians.

“Our position on Hamas is different from that of the United States and Western Europe,” said Putin, speaking at an annual news conference in the Kremlin. “The Russian Foreign Ministry has never regarded Hamas as a terrorist organization. But this does not mean that we totally approve and support everything that Hamas has done.” | story
He doesn’t regard Hamas as a terrorist organization and won’t support cutting off its funding.

I think everyone hopes this is a real start for statehood, obviously Hamas was so much trouble for Israel but I think it is historic that peace now is at it’s best chance ever at the behest of Sharon’s brilliant plan of making land concession and at the same time in building the wall to keep the suicide bombers out.  The death of Araphat could not have come at a better time in my opinion because he was a first rate thief, I always thought Camp David was a silly exercise, pardon me.  Everything there is a pride issue but I think this is time for a real change and I hope Hamas thinks more now of the future, for the living, and not of most right or most noble.

Come on now,
For how long, and how many Americans, are gonna continue to be fooled by the jewish-israeli lobby, which: Is the main reason the neo-cons got Bush to invade Iraq; and, whenever that same lobby applies the pressure and lies, American foreign policy is yet again distorted and so, nations that oppose racist israel’s policies are branded the bad guys.
Syria, Iran, Palestine, groups that resist, and so the big stinkin’ gorilla in every room is the damned jewish-israeli lobby.
Warping and warping. Why do you think hypocrites like Hillary, Boxer, Feinstein and others voted for the invasion of Iraq? And still support Bush, with a few meek ‘mabees’ here and their.
Come on! More Americans need to know about this
fraud that caused the death of their kids in Iraq
and calls for more Americans to die for the nasty right wing-israeli alliance. Come on! Later
