President Bush addresses the crowd during the 142nd Landon Lecture Monday, Jan. 23, 2006 at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.

AP: MANHATTAN, Kan. - President Bush pushed back Monday at critics of his once-secret domestic spying effort, saying it should be termed a “terrorist surveillance program” and contending it has the backing of legal experts, key lawmakers and the Supreme Court.

Several members of Congress from both parties have questioned whether the warrantless snooping is legal. That is because it bypasses a special federal court that, by law, must authorize eavesdropping on Americans and because the president provided limited notification to only a few lawmakers. | story

OK, Mr. Bush, but what about the non-terrorists being swept up in your nets? Not that we’re surprised by the new moniker; this is the guy who legalized an increase in air pollution and called it “Clear Skies,” and labeled a tree-slashing program “Healthy Forests.”

The arrogance of these fascists will be their undoing.  They are so indelibly smug that they will not even realize how the tide has turned until the new majority Dems in the House begin the Articles of Impeachment.  The American people ARE waking up.  The corporatized press is doing everything it can to maintain the lie that the people don’t care.  It’s coming.

The biggest crime of all, is the pervasive ignorance in this country that allows the Bush Administration to trot from one criminal misdeed to the next unchallenged. The informed are about to loose their minds. We are loosing faith that the opposition has the courage or ability to fight back. The culture of life President is killing the planet, waging war on innocent human life, killing America’s middle class with his business policies, killing our safety net programs intentionally, killing our economy with unrestrained debt. What will it take for this country to wake up?

Disgusting. This is insulting to read, insulting to be part of the public that is expected to ‘buy’ this nonsense of newly made up terminology to replace simple truths. Insulting to watch a President dishonour the people.

I cant beleive that this is happening in the land of the free.
