Christian Science Monitor: JERUSALEM AND BEIRUT—Al Qaeda, which originally announced its presence on the global scene in 1998 as “The World Islamic Front for Jihad against the Jews and Crusaders,” for the first time has claimed an attack on the Jewish state from neighboring Lebanon.

Abu Musab Zarqawi, the commander of Al Qaeda’s Middle East branch, issued a warning to Israel on the group’s website, boasting that Katyusha rockets fired two weeks ago from southern Lebanon were just the “beginning of a welcome operation to strike deep in enemy territory, at the instructions of Osama bin Laden.”

Please never have I heard such weak reporting. I guess if it comes out of an official source it must be true. Immediately after 9-11 Sharon tried to link Hamas with Al Queda.
Israel is quite capable of usinG the War on Terror to it’s strategic advantage. The story is from a dubious source to begin with.

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!

in 1956, The Levan affair brought down and Israeli goverment, because they were using Israeli agents recruiting Egytpian jews to bomb western targets in Egypt, planting evidence to frame arabs.

1967-US intelligence gathering naval vessel- THE USS LIBERTY- 34 killed after being attacked by Israeli planes-LBJ covered up an inquiry.

1979-Shin bet-(Israeli FBI) tries to penetrate US Consulate general in Jerusalem.

1985- NY times report FBI is aware of at least a dozen incidents in which AMerican officials transferred calssified information to Israelis with no follow up prosecution.

1993- The ADL is caught operating a massive spy ring on critics of Israel, ARabs, NaaCp
*and of course there was the quickly forgotten about story of Larry Franklyn- 2yrs ago passing over sensitive dossiers to ISraeli intelligence

SO STORIES COMING FROM ISRAEL ABOUT AL QUEDA IN GAZA SHOULD BE TAKEN WITH A GRAIN OF SALT--SAME PEOPLE WHO SAY KAIZER SOLZE AL ZARQAWI IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE TERROR----DON’T BE THICK IN WAR TIME PROPAGANDA IS A CONSTANT- ASK PAT TILLMAN AND PRIVATE JESSIC SUCKERS!

This is something the press should be paying more attention to.

If Al Qaeda sets off on this course against Israel it will bust up that part of the world.
