In House races, the libertarian vote for Republicans dropped from 73 percent in 2000 to 53 percent in 2004, while the libertarian vote for Democrats increased from 23 to 44 percent. There was a similar swing in Senate races.

Mark, you are correct. Libertarians believe that as long as you are not causing harm to others, you should be free to act as you please in a truly free society. The less government involvement and meddling in our daily lives, the better. By the way, anyone here care about CIVIL LIBERTIES. You know, things like the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. Do you think Republicans or Democrats will help ensure our rights? Libertarians are the only party which remains true to American ideals. I am a libertarian and cannot stand wars with no end, while killing thousands of people including our own, spending billions, for what reasons again? I forgot the last justification. It might change again, so stay tuned.

Whether or not someone smoke’s pot or has sex with the same gender is none of the government’s business. It’s sad that you obviously don’t agree.
