Report: Republican Was the Source of Foley E-Mails

Posted on Oct 5, 2006

The Hill:

The source who in July gave news media Rep. Mark Foley’s (R-Fla.) suspect e-mails to a former House page says the documents came to him from a House GOP aide.

That aide has been a registered Republican since becoming eligible to vote, said the source, who showed The Hill public records supporting his claim.

The same source, who acted as an intermediary between the aide-turned-whistleblower and several news outlets, says the person who shared the documents is no longer employed in the House.

Corporate media has saturated its coverage of the issue with conservatives like Pat Buchanon and Tony Blankly who offer predictable defense of the republicans. Commentators like Mathews are greatly pained and anguished to see none of the defenses offered by these conservative loud mouths seem to be holding.

Blaming Democrats and the press is standard operating procedure for the Republicans. While they’re busy shoving ‘feel-good’terms like “accountability”, “personal responsibility” and the 10 Commandments down everyone’s throat they’re out there hypocritically violating their dogma.  Too bad the idiot Christians joined up with them… instead of being holier than thou they look like a bunch of dupes intracately linked to the Abromoff scandals, Mark Foley, Bush’s failed War, etc.  I don’t know any secular liberals who have sunk to their lows. They’ve got lots of explaining to do!

No way! So what? Hannity lied to me? Newt lied to me? Clinton didn’t do it?

Oh yeah, that’s right, these are the same folks that think Clinton was in office when 911 came. Oh wait, that was Bush.
