The Federal Bureau of Intrusion

Disturbing news from the FBI:  The top U.S. intelligence agency recently underwent an internal audit, which produced some pretty creepy results.  Even in a small sampling of the agency’s activities (the survey covered 10% of the whole organization, according to The Washington Post), the bureau was found to have violated privacy laws and agency rules some 1,000 times while monitoring phone calls, e-mails and other communications.

Hamas Tightens Noose on Gaza

Hamas, an organization once partially funded by Israel as an alternative to the PLO, is now Israel’s worst nightmare as religious fundamentalists seize Gaza.  Remember when Bush promised that the invasion of Iraq would bring sanity to the Mideast region?

Checking In With the Willing

Radar Online checks in with Mongolia, Bulgaria and the other member nations of the “coalition of the willing” still fighting in Iraq. Albania, true to its love of George W. Bush, promises to see the war through to the end, with its 120 troops. Reminder: Of the roughly 162,000 troops fighting in Iraq, 150,000 are American, 7,100 are British and the rest, a hodgepodge of nations from Armenia to the Ukraine—and that’s not counting the mercenaries.
