I don’t like that picture at all. Christmas is about Jesus not a
reindeer!
********************

You really don’t know much about what you’re made to think.
There is way more validity in the sun of god dying at the winter
solstice and being dead for 3 days and rising again on the 25th
to reach his pinnacle on the summer solstice until he dies again
on the winter solstice and is again reborn.

Did you ever consider that what you awakened to one day from
your childhood indoctrination, that there is an origin of the
belief you came to follow?

“Give me a child before the age of 7 and he is mine for life.”

I said I “believe” (see I’m learning)in proper spelling and it doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m 100% free of errors myself, since just like for Johannes, English is not my mother-tongue.

Why stopping its so nice and social in our famelie, we are inspired by Charles Dickens, say the Pickwick
papers.

We come to gether an yes we go to the midnight mass, not for the religion but for the social come to gether.

Why kill something very old and nice, you replace it with what, no you can be very progresieve in your thinking and doing but still appreciate nice old values.

Why dont you guys stop celebrating Xmas?? My family did a long time ago…the entire country is tired of it.It became so commercialized as to mean nothing and, to those of us who are atheists, the dreaded holiday scramble starts earlier every year…it has become only a marketing tool.

Yes, some go and help at homeless shelters, VA, etc on this day, but it seems to only enforce the correctness of their doing nothing about the pain the rest of the year..hearing Wall St talking about “doing gawd’s work” produced no outcry from the christian community that I heard…or any religious community. Its stands for nothing.

diman,  if you really believe in proper spelling, try spelling “believe” properly, and quit picking on others.

diman - You sound like one hell of a snob.  Please
consider that some posters here may have a first
language other than English.  As for poor johannes, I
believe it has been established that this fellow is
from Holland.  I wonder how well you write in Dutch.

samosamo -  There is a simple way to avoid federal
income taxes—leave the US and start a new life
somewhere else.  I realize this option might be
difficult for most Americans, but it is the one legal
way for an American to avoid funding US military
aggression. http://theunpeople.blogspot.com/

Gee, buddy, let me in on the secret of not paying income taxes,
cause I want to be just like you.

Would it help to just write ‘deceased’ across my tax return and
send it in?

““So you like no people who belief in something, well its maby for that reasen in the Islamic countrys they have killed in
2009, 165 000 Christians beliefers, if that is what you whant to say with your writing, but when it happens it will not say
that it is just, its onhuman to kill an other human, against the laws of nature.’‘’‘
*************************************************************

Let me put it to you this way, there is sufficient doubt as to the reality of just about any organized religion there is and
more so with the ones I have mentioned in my comment and if you and others scoff at my ideas of organized religion but
are too enamored in your own beliefs to be curious enough to investigate the origins of religions then I cannot and will not
try to disrupt your beliefs in your faith as you will have to become curious enough to ‘research’ those origins to find maybe a
better view of what you and others believe.

Not much is plain black or white and certainly not when dealing with belief and religion and I have friends who hold to their
beliefs but when one uses those beliefs to kill, rape and pillage other countries it just doesn’t wash and it may be that
because here in america and other countries it is easy to accept setting one’s military on another country purely for reasons
all related to greed that no matter how many are killed on any side, it just seems to be a way of ‘doing business’.

On a personal scale, death is natural and to protect oneself from death or harm there is nothing unnatural about having to
kill someone trying to do so to you or me and the laws of nature uphold that as a fight for survival but not in an
indiscriminate way for societies to exist.

And as much as you object to the 165,000 christians killed in muslim countries, what about those hundreds of thousands if
not millions of muslims killed in their own country by invading countries fighting a ghost war on terror for the hope of
maintaining a sustaining economy of growth where decent muslims just seem to be dirty filthy bugs with no distinction of a
good or bad muslim? Sort of a ‘kill them all and let god sort them out’ mentality.

I just cannot help think about the story in the bible(christian) of the tower of babel where the people were made by this god
to separate and disperse when they built a tower to reach god and now that there are about 7,000,000,000 people around,
just what are the implications with that?

____________________________________________________

Who is telling you or where are you reading these
outrageous lies?. Where and when did these “killings” occure and how come it were not printed or broadcast with the news?.
How many people live in Holland and what is the REAL ACCURATE number of Muslims in Holland?.
By the way how is that fatwa of that old Egyptian, will change the way you live. Most likely, it is just another religious drivel similar to the other religious Christian, Jewish, Hindu etc ..etc drivel.
Does the Dutch government obey that old Egyptian??!!
People who think like the way think, make me feel depressed and sad and apprehensive about the prospect of peace in this world.
Have happy and peaceful Holidays.

Why would I want to believe or participate in a belief of anything
that is a major source of hate, death and war on this planet that
comes under the name of organized religion, most notable the
judeo/christians( and if that doesn’t include the catholics) the
roman catholics, islam and especially the evangelicals, whoever
in the hell they are.

How dare anyone tell anyone else what ‘god’ (dog) wants them
to do, that is plain out and out telling people to be stupid and
trust only those who talk to god/dog.

Agree with you EJH. My co-workers are running like crazy buying shit they wouldn’t buy for themselves as a Christmas gift for their relatives and friends. Later on we will be seeing hordes of these relatives and friends returning the gifts to the shops they were bought in. This is actually very sad.
