To their credit, however, I must point out that a recent split has prodouced a new organization called Psychologists for Social Responsibility (PsySR.org)
who are working hard on several important current issues, one of them being the refusal to accept as ethical the fact that some psychlogists prostituted their profession by “helping” the torturers at Guantanamo (which was, in fact, not a sinister joke,
but a hard fact that ruined many lives and now lies buried under a thin layer of “let sleeping dogs lie” expediency).
