DS/GH:
Thank you. I’ve been waiting for someone to state the obvious, as you have: this is a “trend,” undoubtedly supported not just by the NRA, but by the entire political-military-law enforcement machine. Trust me, if Zimmerman is acquitted, it will be open season for people like him.

This is an inaccurate summary of Florida’s self-
defense law. A reading of the actual text of the law
shows that it does not apply in the case of the
murder of Trayvon Martin.
More to the point, if it did apply, it would mean
Report thisthat George Zimmerman did not break the law. So, if
you really want to warp the reading of the text of
the law in such an unrealistic way to suggest that it
applies in this case, you should be aware that you
have logically committed yourself to calling for
Zimmerman not to be charged with any crime.

Something like preemptive war isn’t it? You suspect that the other country has hidden WMD’s so you attack first. If you wait for proof, you’ll be dead. It all comes down from the top. The attitude of Americans towards others on the street mirrors our country’s attitude in international relations. Power comes out of the barrel of a gun. Shock and Awe, blow them away. Don’t mess with me. Life is war, and the whole world is a battlefield. War is a force that destroys all meaning.
Report thisCan the true cost of endless war ever be reckoned? More than half of the states have enacted shoot first laws since the invasion of Iraq.
The potus recently stalked and murdered a teenage American citizen in Yemen on suspision that he might someday be dangerous. How are Obama and Zimmerman different?
