Hmmm,how much do Americans like BP “doing” the “colonies”? And without war,too. Interesting parallels to empire building/taking resources without heed to locals…(politicians aside, who are paid for).

In one of my unpublished stories there is a reference to Afghanistan being scored of its inhabitants by American Empire HE phase-plasma cannon and DNA specific short term diseases to wipe out all of them so that its riches can be mined without interference. Where literally the grave yard of empires is now just a grave yard for the former inhabitants. (A throw away line as to how ruthless America had become since going full theocratic-corporate empire and no one can stop them.)
Something like that in the future? USA, Russia, China and others fighting over Afghanistan as a treasure trove to be plundered and picked clean in the near future.
