Velma I’m currently doing my final year of a psychology degree, and you have made so many incorrect comments.

First of all, the comic is describing the crap that is psychoanalysis (aka: Freud theory).
Second, psychiatry has its basis in medicine, psychiatrists have medical degrees and psychiatry is a specialisation
Third, psychology is a science. At my university (and countless others) it is in the health science faculty. Psychology research uses the scientific method, statistics and everything that psychologists do in therapy and interventions is meant to be empirically based aka: based on good research.
