Advertisement New and Improved CommentsWe are launching a major overhaul of our comments section. In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread. Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts. Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with. Yes, and the “peace movement” adapts with it. Under Bush “Oh, this is terrible, this is war crime! Oh! Oh!”. Then under even worse policies, escalations of troop numbers and the widening of the illegal theaters of operation under Barry Sotero, er, I mean Obama and it’s “Meh, s’all good.”
Oh, how we the left and center have adapted! Oh, how adaptable we are. We’re so adaptable that war is peace now. Heck, let’s kill people to teach people that killing people is wrong. We’ve not only become flexible now, we’re actually verging on the super-fluid so long as can be super-cool doing it. Face it, militarism is now cool among the intellectual left. It’s in the open now. It’s the new tough, bad-ass left, here to stamp out the plague that is our fellow humanity in the Arcadian name of Mother Gaia.
