Advertisement New and Improved CommentsWe are launching a major overhaul of our comments section. In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread. Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts. Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with. Please direct any problems or concerns to us via our contact page. |

CaptRon, May 1 at 12:26 am,
There is no way the aborigines of the Southwest United States that was once Mexico, prior to Manifest Destiny, will ever be expelled completely, only tyrannized, oppressed and exploited; because the United States is a capitalist country relying on commerce. Capitalism will never go against commerce.
If the United States was a socialist country then the government would levy a heavy tax on all corporations and companies hiring undocumented workers, high enough that it would not be feasible to hire undocumented workers and they would go home, but that will never happen, because that would not benefit United States commerce.
This whole AZ authoritarian NAZI show of getting rid of the undocumented is merely an oppressive, tyrannical show without any intentions of doing any more than to be oppressive and tyrannize the undocumented workers for theater to make it appear they are doing something beneficial to society, while they are not, because in reality business as usual will continue with the exploitation of the undocumented workers for the benefit of U.S. commerce. It is the way capitalist governments work.

The irony, is that Native Americans are brown, and common, and poor in Arizona—and likely to be harassed by this new policy.
