It is amazing how the work of an illustrator can bring up a political debate right on his page, and it goes to show that art affects people and reaches out to everyone, in a different way of course. Nobody will look at a piece of art the same way as another, and that’s the beauty of it all.

Fish is riffing on his brilliant MLK asking Obama what his dream was. In a sad way
Obama IS a pimp for the rich. He is clueless but blame that on his doofus hippie
mother. She gave him an elevated and faux high self regard and now we are all
suffering.  His insanity to not learn about tribal dynamics from the Bush Iraq
debacle before bombing Libya might be his LBJ crucible of choosing not to run.

I must be honest, Mr. Fish.  Usually, I do not appreciate your cartoons.  But today,
yes, today it is perfect.  Even humorous.  Thanks for presenting our administrative
branch leadership in its proper clothing.

David Brooks is still a vapid weenie monster, and believe me there will be no second-guessing and such on my part for boldly asserting this, even though I agree with him insofar as Obama’s “tone” has become much more condescending as of late than the “pleased with himself” one which he has adopted so often in the past, a particularly loignant example being when he addressed the AIPAC, which is, I suppose only natural for such a man speaking to such a crowd.

Political pundits keep saying they don’t understand Obama; they don’t know what makes him tick.  Almost three years on they don’t know who he is, but Mr Fish always nails it with a visual image.

(I wish I had a breath-alyzer hooked up to my computer. I so often am somewhat baffled, horrified, and mortified at just why I decided to hurl meaningless insults and F-you’s at such nice folks when I sober up.)

However… I EmileZ, being of sound mind would like to share these words which a great man once wrote to me about Obama: “He always looks so pleased with himself.  He gives narcissism a bad name.”

I feel your illustration really captures this quality Mr. Fish.
