It occurs to me that there is an uncomfortable similarity between this cartoon’s message and the “1 in 5 American Women Has Been Raped” article. Then there was the just-recent article on “The Evolution of Feminism” in which the “third wave” has “taken charge of their bodies” (or words to that effect)—(ignoring 9/10ths of the rest of the world’s women completely!). It does occur to me that the primary problem is how to get MEN to “take charge of their bodies”, “—fall on their knees and beg forgiveness etc. etc.” There isn’t that much psychological difference between Iraq and the woman trying to recover from a gang-rape and forget that ancient crock: “—he promised he would marry me and take me to America.”
