New and Improved Comments

We are launching a major overhaul of our comments section.

In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread.

Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts.

Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with.

Please direct any problems or concerns to us via our contact page.

Agreed NYC. It seems the main advantage the GOP/teabag party has going for it is the ability to overlook the malfeseance(sp) of it’s members.

Like chasing underage male pages?Foley. Go away and we will not speak of you again. Have a “wide stance?” Just go away and we will not speak of you again. Craig.

In the mean time we will hold the moral high ground against the sinning Dems.

Betray your marriage vows ‘cause you found your Argentinian soul mate? It’s okay, the lord understands our higher mission to our corporate masters.

1,2,3 million killed, maimed or displaced citizens in a foreign land? We gave them democracy and Christianity so what’s the problem.

Vilified in the press and our society for your religious beliefs? You must be sensitive to our suffering after 9/11, we are really the “Land of the Free” unless you are Muslim, or Hispanic, or black, or Native.

Get rid of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, Unemployment Insurance, Unions, Regulations, all social programs even though the overwhelming majority of recipients are your peers, spend millions or billions sueing, repealling and impeaching a President who’s only crime is being black, invade Iran, North Korea and South America, make christianity our offical religion, outlaw science, masturbation, homosexuality and criticism of your agenda and teaching anything but christian doctrine.

Give all power to corporations who have promise to create jobs and run safe equitable and envionmentally sensitive companies and invest in America.

Keep those Mexicans, Arabs and other dark races from taking your stuff even if you have to give up your freedoms to do so. Did I miss anything?

And make the Fox/Saudi network the official American news station.

I rather think the GOP is reluctant to take their tea for good reason, as depicted.  It, I hope, will come back to bite them hard.

They (tea party and Republicans) will close ranks against the Dems before the election(s).
