1) Any officer who believes the homefront lost the Vietnam War should be cashiered out for being a hopeless idiot.

2) After Saddam gave up his missiles and other weapons upon our demand and threat to invade, and then we invaded anyway I recall officers bragging that that was pretty smart to get him to disarm and then go ahead and attack.  Yeah, pretty smart if you only want to do this once and are without honor.  (Also, shooting 3 people in a lifeboat tied to a cruiser was also remarkable.)
