Our concept of time and Islam’s concept of time are two completely different approaches.  We are, apparently, willing to put up with 10 years of war and occupation.  Islam, however, is willing to put up with occupation for hundreds of years.  Guess who can wait the other side out? With Obama committing our troops to another 18 months, it simply means we fail in 18 months and we had better leave then, because we aren’t willing to sit there for another couple of hundred years.

Did anyone expect the president to actually NOT want more and unending war? And did he choose the right setting for the war escalation talk or what?
