Advertisement New and Improved CommentsWe are launching a major overhaul of our comments section. In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread. Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts. Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with. Criticizing logic doesn’t work when you try to explain
that someone with a black marker needs a blackboard,
which wouldn’t show writing because both items are
black, and because blackboards utilize chalk, not
markers. Get a whiteboard, Lincoln…
Also, I don’t like Glenn Beck, and I’m not too keen on

Wonderful depiction of the demagoguery currently spreading fear. It amazes me that to this day how easily the general public follows a figure who clearly has no grasp of logic or reality. If we would just learn the meaning of the words we use rather than “trust” those who seem intelligent since they hold a chalk and write on a chalkboard, then maybe…. just maybe the world would not be in such a mess.
