New and Improved Comments

We are launching a major overhaul of our comments section.

In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread.

Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts.

Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with.

Please direct any problems or concerns to us via our contact page.

The image portrayed says a lot..

Anyone who can’t stand up to the likes of Beck,
Limbaugh, Hannidy et.al., has no right to be the
president of the United States.  A grade school child
should be able to refute their lies and ideology.

The conservative side of the nation is becoming angrier and angrier, thanks in part to fearmongerers and downright liars Beck, O’Reilly, Hannity, and Co. Meanwhile the “left” with positions of power *cough President cough* are becoming a tepid segment that fears the reprisal of conservatives, regardless of how ridiculous they actually sound. Compounded with the fact that actual progressives have a difficult time reaching public office (however useless it may be), there is little chance that the left will make a dominant resurgence (on policy, not merely numbers) against a louder conservative faction. Leading to the only conclusion that true change must come from the ground up, rather than the men in suits.
