Dear John Ellis….... at least us Atheist haven’t institutionalized the raping of children, as your chuch has. And then they have the temerity to protect the pedophiles instead of the children. I say… it’s time for the katholickass chuch to die!!!! I vote for capturing the offenders and string them up on the steeples of their chuches, by their balls

The failure of the Catholic Church to address the issue of child abuse by the
priesthood, most notably in the recent conference in Rome with Irish church
leaders, is one of the most shameful chapters in the history of the church.
The church should aid in the legal prosecution of Pedophile Priests, not aid in
their abuse by transferring them to new parishes where they have new and
unsuspecting children to prey on.
This is not an attack on God, it is an attack on the flawed humans who claim to
speak for him on this Earth.

I guess for too many people it is blasphemy to say that all
religion comes from astronomical observations and astrology
even far far before the major ‘organized religions’ came on the
scene, i.e. judeo/christianity, muslim.
I have found that any organized religion is…. well, I think if I
can find sources and references and studies done by
legitimate people that gives a very coherent and real view of
how religion began, then everybody else can, but the trick
here is to be curious and want to know the origins of religion
instead of taking a self proclaimed expert on the matter as the
But that is neither here nor there as when people have their
minds made up about something, be it wrong or right, as long
as they don’t have to research and study to find a reality, then
they are happy because old george or joe down the street
know and they are easy to believe.
Speaking of george, here is one of my absolutely most

“It’s amazing how christians in the US think that jews and arabs are going to hell, while stuffing your member into a child is somehow acceptable.”
In my many years of living and knowing true Christians, I have never met one who thinks what you said above. Could you back that up, that real Christians in the US believe those things?
Because I believe this is just prejudging the whole group by the behavior of a very, very few. Usually this is seen as a very intolerant and bigoted attitude. Why would it not be in this case?
Can you judge Islam based on the actions of the few terrorists?
Can you judge African-Americans based on the actions of the Crips and Bloods?
I will not even bring up the fact that Catholics do not follow the Bible, and are arguably not Christian at all. Catholics did not allow Bible reading for a long time.
That is the Bible in that cartoon, a book which millions of law abiding, anti-violent, hard working people believe to be holy. If that was the Koran, someone would be getting their head lopped off.
I didn’t vote for Reagan, and I am not a member of a Christian religion myself. I just know bigotry, introlerance and prejudice when I see it, and it is wrong wherever it shows its ugly head. Hatred against a whole people for the acts of a very, very minute number is wrong, period. Making a cartoon of their Holy book is equally wrong.

davex3, pull your head out of your goddamn ronny ray-guns manifesto for five friggin’ minutes and realize that the only thing that has corrupted the masses more than the pursuit of wealth is organized religion.
ANY person who gives ANY amount of money to the catholic church is aiding and abetting the molestation of children, and should be treated as such.
It’s amazing how christians in the US think that jews and arabs are going to hell, while stuffing your member into a child is somehow acceptable.

Making fun of Christian organizations and Religion in
general is all too easy. Without Religion we’d have a
lot less to laugh about but also a lot less bigotry and
human suffering. I wonder if there is a

A type of bigoted psychological warfare. Linking a small criminal group (homosexual, NAMBLA-type priests) with a group they belong to (Christianity) in the hopes of projecting the criminal behavior onto the group as a whole.
It is funny when targeted at the other guys. But it is bigotry, prejudice and defamation irregardless.
Because it is directed at Christianity, it will not be condemned on this leftist site, but rather seen as quite funny and deserved.
This is how you can tell the left is not against bigotry, hatred and prejudice except when it is targeted at them.

There’s a very good chance that this one encounter will harm that child FOR LIFE almost more than any other abuse.
I say “almost” because, the last I heard, the social scientists suggest that it can be argued that a child who witnesses repeated physical domestic abuse between his/her parents potentially can suffer an even more psychological handicap than one who is sexually abused.
In any case, to rate which of these abuses is worse is a ridiculous academic waste of time. To use a child (or other immature or handicapped individual) to satisfy one’s own sexual urges/inadequacies is a heinous crime… and there’s NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT IT.

Proof that there is no GOD!If there was, wouldnt the

enough for intervention?
