Tasteless maybe, truthful cer much so. If you want political correctness I recommend CNN or AP news.

When someone decides to make a career out of bearing their soul to the world, it’s one of the greatest sacrifices of all. As a fellow artist you’d think Miss Jones would understand that, clearly she doesn’t.  Tasteless does not even begin to describe this…

Definitely tasteless. What a strange lapse of integrity for Truthdig. This talented woman obviously suffered from severe and untreated alcoholism/addiction.

I was just watching news on HLN.  They were discussing a fellow in Texas who has more than one
wife and a bunch of kids living in a commune. The
kids aren’t allowed to attend public schools or
watch television.  The female reporter made the
comment, “The children are being brainwashed.”  I
about fell out of my chair.  I would like to see
Dr. Drew and a group of psychologists discurss which
children are MORE “brainwashed;” children who are not
allowed to attend public school nor permitted to
watch television, movies, and rock bands VERSUS
children who are allowed to attend public school,
and permitted to watch television, movies, and
rock bands.  I’d love to hear that debate!
Following the coverage on the polygamist fellow in
Texas the next story on HLN was coverage of the
death of 27 year old Amy Winehouse.  HLN showed
several girls who appeared to be in their early
teens placing flowers in front of Amy’s house.  I
wondered, “How were these young girls “BRAINWASHED”
by watching and listening to Amy?”  A better question would probably be, “How was Amy Winehouse
brainwashed growing up in her environment?”

Agreed.. very poor taste… mostly due to the timing. Otherwise there is little about
it that doesn’t properly portray what the public was allowed to see of that
unfortunate woman.

Myself, I never understood her prominence or popularity.. perhaps it was all fiction
promoted by a subset of influential insiders for profit? Wouldn’t be the first time.
Yet it seems her songs contained some valuable message if you could train
yourself to listen. In my admittedly limited view on these issues it seems she was a
somewhat pale issue of ‘the gaga’? I have zero use for that spectacle either.

Adios!

It hits the spot. This woman just cheated herself out of another 50 years of life with her
reckless lifestyle. Why be politically correct?

This is a shitty cartoon and it’s pretty poor timing.
Wow, you mean she had a substance abuse problem? How
observant of you.
