In light of all the glorification of that transcendent
moment 20 years ago, I’m glad someone is at least
acknowledging the walls still in existing or still
being built.
I always think of the Warsaw ghetto wall. The Star of David on the tool box is very good touch.
I am marking my 2nd “anniversary” online this month, although a senior citizen (health delay - CFS/ME). I remember my shock at seeing a Star of David on a tank, a military tank. I grew up Orthodox Jewish in Brooklyn, on the edge of Borough Park, with a Bubbie in Borough Park (who was a socialist and Orthodox Jew). She was a feminist in deed and not a racist. (I’m now an atheist Jew.) I signed one of the online petitions in support of the Goldstone Report.
