Yeh, the “good old days” when your present troubles make the previous troubles seem tame by comparison. Don’t blame him, he’s just following the orders that previous presidents have done to put us in this situation.
We’ll be having the same nostalgic feelings when the other part of the Great Depression we have been experiencing since 2001 with our first “jobless recovery” left its mark. The silent depression became louder as time went on. Yes let us stop bailing out and propping up the bulking, hulking oversized economic parasites. If Wm Grieder is correct in his most recent piece in The Nation our gov’t will be creating 40-50 economic behemoths permanently on tax paid for life support very soon if things aren’t done now to correct the fatal flaws in our present economic system.
