I’m Amazed
by My Morning Jacket
I’m amazed in the quiet ocean
I’m amazed at your wrong devotion
I’m amazed at what the people saying
I’m amazed by a divided nation
Like the middle of the earth
I get disrupted
I’m amazed at all that has been
I’m amazed at all who be
I’m amazed at the tv stations
I’m amazed what they want me to believe
After all is said and done
Now lets seek justice
I’m amazed at the evolution
I’m amazed at the lack of faith
I’m amazed at love we are rejected
I’m amazed that we accepted this place
Like the middle of the earth and the middle of the ages
Like a river I get disrupted
I’m amazed
I’m amaaaaaaaaaazed…

Brilliant statement of the truth. If Americans could only come to understand that a corporation has only one goal once it is formed: More money for shareholders, no matter what it takes.
A corporation is not a patriotic entity, but simply an earnings per share-profit maximizing entity in the business(s) it’s involved in, all other things are variables, such as employment, benefits, where the work is done (outsourcing), and where investments are made (GM in China and Brazil, while shutting down in America).
This cartoon is very powerful because it shows how easily corporations connect up to Congress to get done what the corporations want—-its a direct connection through money and lobbying and other influence. The poor citizen doesn’t stand a chance, except at the ballot box.
