This cartoon says a lot C. Thomas was a sexist person and he got on the Supreme Court.
Ms. Sotomeyer said her comments to a woman audience and there are a lot of smart woman.
And as Cokie Roberts said it is amazing that men represent 37% of the population yet congress is almost 90% men, I think that the Repubs are just plucking at straws, after all opinions at certain times are directed at a target office.
Berkley Calif. is surely a place where woman power is recongnized.
Bottom line she is going to get nominated and R. Lumball is only a talking head.

Don’t you hate it when Fish goes bad?
Report thisIt does point up a very good reason in favor of confirmation.
The art is as sub par as the concept so a point for consistency.

Shirley, The Repugs were down and dirty the whole time Clinton was in office also, down to the absolute insane remarks that Hillary and Chelsea had sex with aliens-from outer space.
When these childish talking heads that were elected(?) by the public to represent them and do a job for the people, it did not mean to throw a monkey wrench into everything the new president has tried to do for all of the people. If a person is “hired” for a job and they refuse to do it, they should be fired from that job and certainly not paid for the poor job they have done so far. After all in the real world if you refuse to do your job, you are fired, just because you are a politician should not make you untouchable. If we continue to allow this outrageous behavior to run amok, we are paying them the big bucks with all kinds of perks for nothing. Fire them and make an example of them that if they continue to work against whatever this new president does and let the people- their real bosses who pay them make the rules of what will no longer be accepted from these elected bullies.

I think this is a disgusting, sexist, moronic “cartoon.” For shame.
Cici,
Report this“think” a little more before you react. This cartoon is obviously satire. Crude, yes. But it is trying to illustrate the hypocrisy surrounding the Sotomayor nomination. Clarence Thomas is the one who allegedly uttered those comments. The things that are “disgusting, sexist, [and]moronic” are Clarence Thomas and his behavior, and the fact that the republicans seemed to be just fine with it.

How disgustingly low, dirty, vulgar and mindless!I have never seen the Republican party act in such a brainless, critical and vindictive way as I have seen this past year. They keep digging deeper and can’t understand why they are not among the “elite” anymore. They have become a party that is pathetic.
