Jeremy Scahill did a pretty devastating run down of things this morning on Dem. Now, check it out of you have a chance.

KDelphi—I don’t like turning in people either. On the one hand, the free marketplace of ideas is the free marketplace of ideas—but on the other hand, if a couple of born-agains are able to stop other people from commenting simply by hogging all the bandwidth all the time, that too is one way to stifle free speech. Am sure you’re right, trying to stop them would just make them redouble their efforts to win this one for the big bipper (JC). I don’t have any good ideas myself, though we might try asking and answering our longwinded friends “What would Jesus do? Share nicely, of course.”

“(expletive deleted) you to the aclu”... “(expletive deleted) you, aclu”.
when, in the comments following a story about dick cheney, i suggested cheney take his own advice [physician, (expletive deleted) thyself] i was censored. some fish, it seems, is more equal than others. physician, your cue.

Sepharad—I know…my browser is slow and my pc old…and when I have to scroll througth all of this, sometimes I just give up…its not fair, but, I do have a probl with “turning people in”, like on some other sites we know…the peopel that respond to them should have a “special topics” site or something??

A religious site…but, born agains see complaints as a “special challenge” presented to them by jesus or something…if people would just ignore…it is hard

samosamo—What’s happenning here is beyond scary, and I find it very depressing as well. Sometimes I’m glad that the generations of my family who tried so hard to get here because of what this country then stood for are dead and can’t see what it has become, and what is coming. We’ve tried to pass our traditions on to our kids, and young grandchildren, as well as doing everything possible to teach them how to live freely and fully in spite of everything. The kids seem to have taken the lesson.

samosamo and KDelphi—the long long long commenters are swallowing the TD threads, and fewer and fewer posters are commenting. But I don’t know what to do about it. Free country and all that.

Okay Obama has a velvet voice and a pretty wife, but he has two heads. One head is clinton and the other head is bush. Where is Obama’s head? This I guess make him a janus head. Maybe in time he can become a head that sits and confronts the bush and clinton heads. Until that time we the people are in deep trouble.
Smile for the cameras.

samosamo and sepharad..its true, when people post a series of very long comments, especially, if you have an old pc, sometimes, it just won’t connect. I dont think that this is fair. Particularly when they post the same things over and over.

sad and good cartoon…

Yes indeed, this cartoon is very expressive of the state of mind of once candidate Obama turned into the Commander-in-Chief of an evil and crooked political-military system.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry!

Brilliant, as ever, Mr. Fish.

Which policies, which promises, which changes in direction hasn’t Obama done a complete reversal on since he’s been in office?

Yeah, scary isn’t it and as I commented on the second post of this on CD, just wait until those young and dumb and full of cum armed teenagers start coming into our neighborhoods fleshing out all those ‘terrorists’ hiding there so get your little flag, your yellow ribbon and your poster of hope so you won’t be IDed as a terroist.

““Second thing was “How did we get this far that something like this was even considered, let alone put into action?””

Like an alcoholic, I have to admit that we are losing that which is most important for maintaining a democracy or is it gone and that is the ‘eternal vigilance’ that is required to keep our electorate working for the people and preventing this very thing.

I think what may be bogging this site down are the 2 or 3 commenters that pump out long winded and almost totally inarticulate comments that slows access to the site considerably.

I am fascinated by Mr. Fish’s use of various art works and styles, transformed into political art.

You have to admit, America’s youth will look far nicer in brown shirts than white sheets. Oh wait, it’s probably the same thing.

samosamo—Read “A Different Kind Of Boy Scout…” in this a.m.‘s NYTimes. First thing that came to mind was “Hitler Youth” fun and games all over again.
Second thing was “How did we get this far that something like this was even considered, let alone put into action?”  Third thing, “Let me out of here.”

This site is really fucked up. I cannot connect, I cannot preview my comments and the responses emailed to me won’t display, its like the site is dying or some hackers are really ripping it up.

But here let me try again.

Seems we need to all be carrying little parade US flags and waving them, wear a yellow ribbon or have one of those shepard fairey poster of hope to keep us from being accused of being a terrorist because the new boy scout militia currently being trained will spot those real terrorists real easy.
