I hope this begins to catch on about the need for 3rd and 4th parties to vote for and the realization that just electing a president is not the cure all, all of congress needs very serious consideration, well, all but about a couple of dozen or so. Then there might be a move to put a halt to the lobbyist’s bribes to our electorate for their benefit. And finally take back the media and divvy it up amoung several peoples and groups, at least a hundred or so and then the accountability of everyone responsible for our current disaster doing hard time and paying big fines.

I surely wish that there was a third party then maybe there will be a president to change this country.
On the other hand congress has to represent people and not just Wall Street.

Nailed it, Mr. Fish! Hope, as it turns out (to the surprise of VERY few) is the thing with feathers. The Shrub & Crew fucked it, plucked it and now Dah Bam and his boys have tucked it in the oven at a nice 130 degrees. It’ll be looooong time cooking…..

The “Obama King” and his “Court Jester”, Eric Holder, are clearly aiding and abetting the evil, facist Bush/Cheney War Criminal Cartel. The “Obama King” and his criminal co-conspirators have absolutely ZERO credibility on any front and according to the rule of law should be indictment for war crimes along with the SCUMBAB BUSH/CHENEY Cartel!!

“”“How the heck is it any worse if the Republicans get back in?”“”
*******************************
Considering that the republicans are the ‘deregulators’ I would definitely say it will be worse with them and they have the history to prove. ‘Unfettered’, not regulated which translates into liberty hall for all the criminals to just help themselves with not a jot of worry about prosecution.
But I am like you in that I will not vote for another republican or democrat again. Just like chimpanzee is just 2 to 5% different in genetic make up from humans the difference in a republican and a democrat is even less. I did not vote for either in 2008, president or representative or senator but my real anger comes with reality of mccain not getting elected which is the same as thinking I will get a raise but only when I find a new job by under bidding an illegal immigrant.
Report thisAnd as I stated in my earlier comment here, I found I could not vote for obama when he placed himself of being beholding to corporate america, the pentagon and izrael.

While W was the worst criminal to ever darken the WH door, Barry is well on his way to topping the repugnant Shrub.
Keep in mind, we all knew Bush was going to F us in the A, but we all had hope that Barry would not only restore our confidence, but lead us through wilderness to a better future.
Now we find out that Barry is after all, a professional. A lawyer through and through. Extending the same professional courtesy that any shark would to any attorney that falls off a fishing boat.
The Constitution is meaningless. If the people do not rise up to defend it, it might as well be toilet paper in the congressional washroom.

Ah, I see the Dems are still spinning the same bull about how we all must be scared of the Republicans. But, haven’t we already learned that electing this bunch of Democrats is basically the same thing as electing Republicans?
We are still continuing Bush’s policy in Iraq, keeping the troops there, with vague promises of a withdrawal sometime in the future.
We are expanding the war in Afghanistan, and creating a new one in Pakistan. We are threatening to invade Eritrea now. An attack on Iran looks as likely now as it did a year ago. Only its more likely the planes will wear Israeli war paint instead of American.
We are continuing to pump trillions of our dollars into Wall St accounts.
No one is being prosecuted. From the torturers to the people who’ve illegally spied on Americans to the Wall St fraudsters, everyone gets off scott-free under Obama. Unless you support the Bill of Rights. Obama’s Homeland security dept has already declared supporters of the Constitution to be extremists.
How the heck is it any worse if the Republicans get back in? We need to throw the Democrats out. I won’t vote Republican, but I won’t vote Democrat again either. And, only when we stand up and start voting and acting for candidates that truly represent us will we stop suffering under Democrat=Republican, bi-partisan, pro-war, screw-ordinary-Americans leadership.

Considering american politics has not only endorsed, and without cause, the invasion of another sovereign but defenseless nation, but, has also justified the practice of torture, the only real question left to ask is, What do you think of that law, now?

There is no REAL difference between Obama and these
Report thischaracters you just mentioned. Obama actions prove
that regardless of the cosmetic changes without any substance and the make-belief bull-shitting he enacted. He is Bush with a tooth-paste smile and
good oratory.
Obama and his “dream team” are not sparing any effort
to distract the citizens from the economic situation
and the trillions of dollars being shovelled to the banks.
The recent release of the torture memos is an example of that without any real consequence but
the distraction.
It is time for a third party.

This guy had already assured corporate america, the pentagon and izrael that he was their ‘boy’ and everyday that rolls around he reiterates that position. But now he is adding the flagrant dismissal of any action against the last criminal regime not just by ‘moving forward’, but following those traitors pelosi, reid and his financial terrorists positions of protecting and rewarding them for a job well done.
Report thisI know this will be like pissing in the wind but the next election, 2010 I believe, it would behoove everyone to vote out their incumbent representative and senator, and don’t elect the other party to do so as that is NO CHANGE but just ‘movin forward’.
By ApprxAm, April 20 at 2:48 pm #
Gosh, you Libz are starting sound as jackassed as the F-ing RePugZ.
With the exception of Larry Summers and Tim Geithner in his inner (or any circle). He’s doing well enough. So keep pissing that liberal FoolAid and prod others to stay home in 2010 and 2012 and you’ll be complaining about President Palin and VP Huckabee, with Pat Robertson as Sec of Def.

I think the cartoon is slightly wrong. I’d portray Obama as ripping the Justice card in half while boarding an airplane to the G20 and tossing the pieces onto the tarmac as an afterthought.
He strikes me as far too casual in his beliefs and far too casual in his willingness to just shrug and walk away from the Constitution and Justice.
Is President Obama the “Ted Baxter” we didn’t vote for? Someone who makes good bluster with a teleprompter, but doesn’t remember what he read and meant five minutes later?

you know….it seems to me that EVERYONE is pissed off at president obama for one reason or another. i think we should step back at look at the positive things he’s done in the relatively short time he’s been in office. I havn’t seen ANYTHING on this web site about the EPA’s upcomming reversal on regulating CO2. i also like the fact that president obama is puting forth a hugely more diplomatic face on our nation. geeze people .... how quickly you’ve forgotten how shitty our last president was…

The born-again presidency.
Nothing that happened before matters. Let’s just “turn a new page”, “move forward”, yadda-yadda, fill in your own buzz word or catch phrase. Rahm-rod Emmanuel has spoken. Nobody gets done for this. Let us all sing loud hallelujahs.
So. What’s to stop someone doing the same thing again? Nothing.
If these were the Nuremberg trials, the Torturing Six would already be swinging in the wind.
What is the point of the law if it’s not enforced? The CIA were torturing for MONTHS before they found some weasel lawyers to rewrite (they call it reinterpretation) the laws to cover their crimes.
I am so depressed.
But newspapers (more Orwell-speak there) have said that Obama has “seduced” Latin America.
That’s nice.

This should come as no surprise. He didn’t say he would do anything about this during the campaign. And—for that matter—he never said he was “against the war,” either. He is the presidential equivalent of Pelosi and Reid.

Very sobering, but too true. I know that the president is channeling Mandela here, but you can’t bury the past. Hopefully, his advisers will convince him that he can’t ignore his Constitutional responsibility to investigate. Congress, of course, can intervene and appoint a special prosecutor and hold hearings whether he supports them or not. Let’s hear it for three branches of government again - and not an imperialistic white house!

Yesterday, Sunday April 20, Rahm Emanuel the spokesman for the President stated that the writers of the torture memos will not be investigated let alone prosecuted either.
This is typical for our most cowardly president. Make the announcement on a day when most Americans worry about heaven and hell hence have no time to worry about politics.
It now appears that Obama swore a false oath at inauguration because he refuses to uphold and defend the law of the land. He is toying with impeachment.
