Any criticism of Hillary is portrayed as sexist or unacceptable by her ardent supporters, it is necessary to read the caption at the top, before becoming offended.
Wearing bias on ones shirt sleeves can be disconcerting, so one can expect more, for such is politics a most imperfect program of people being full of themselves and criticized by more people full of themselves.

I don’t like this and I usually like Mr. Fish’s cartoons although lately, say since the election, he seems to be more on the side of the Repubs than the Dems.
But I have never seen him do such an animalistic impression of ANYONE and the fact that this is how he sees Hillary Clinton - and yes, the fact that she’s a woman is significant in his choice of portrayal - is, to me disturbing.
In light of the violence done to the entire globe by the Bush/ Cheney Administration, they still come off as guffawing buffoons rather than this hideous imagery of H. Clinton devouring human flesh - a label the Bush/ Cheney/ Rove cabal more than deserve and that Hillary does not.

This is a picture worth thousands words in expressing the painfully sad reality of our continued misguided foreign policies, on top of our screwed up economic and political policies, despite all the infantile hoopla of the empty slogan of “change we can count on.”
Thank you Mr. Fish for expressing this so graphically!
It’s these graphically shocking expressions of our sad reality that are the only hope we are left with to awaken us up from our lethargic moral slumber!
Thank you again for saying so much, so eloquently, in just one picture!

Had to get my glasses on to read the text, as usual it is thought provoking.
Appreciate the posted comments for not being bigoted, it seems to me Israeli has over abused the Palestinians, though I believe Israel should be allowed to exist. U.S. meddling throughout the world has cost many deaths, asking the offensive war mentality to cease existence, is just a pipe dream.

The image is symbolic of policy and has nothing to do with an attack on women, for heaven’s sake. Please use your brain instead of the automatic flaring off. Satire means THINK! Hillary’s is unusually inarticulate these days and almost sounds like Obama’s halting statements. Becoming half-human (sure, that’s better than Cheney-Bush) ain’t going to do it. My God, look at the devastation, the reality of what happened on the Gaza Strip recently and this Goya parody pales in contrast to that horror. THAT is the point!

“The incoming Israeli government ... must respect the road map and two-states solution and should stop all settlement activity and re-open the border crossings.”
Okay…but why are we still talking about “roadmaps” while Israel violates international law?
“The US supports the Palestinian Authority as the only legitimate government of the Palestinian people.”
So I guess nothing has changed.

I left a message with SOS Clinton and congratualted her on talking with the Palestinians. I say God bless her for standing up to the Jews.
I think I have the answer to the Palestinian/Israeli situation. You tell Israel…No more aid, no more military equipment until you give back all the land you have stolen.
Within the hour…Oh Madame Secretary we have rethought our position. We welcome the new Palestinian state!

Well, one way to view the coming collapse of the American economic superstructure (we haven’t seen anything yet) is that it will force the withdrawal of our troops from both Afghanistan and Iraq and with widespread violence in our cities, the country just may break apart into five separate republics and which one will then continue all of the blindered support of the Israeli government that has occurred over the past sixty years?
The long course of events in the shadow of Moshe Dayan’s ordering the 1967 attack upon the USS Liberty will have come full circle.

And all this time I thought it was a portrayal of Hillary as a monster eating a woman: note the shapely butt and legs. How stupid of me not to immediately equate this very sharp image with a misogynistic comment.
Pointed humor is seldom funny, but it certaly makes one think!

Well, it was hideous when Goya did it. This time it’s even more hideous. Sure, Israel’s conquest of Gaza is hideous, too, but ... do hideous images and actions stop violence? Doubtful. If they did, by this time all of us would have seen enough hideous pictures to have outlawed war and ascended to heaven on a moonbeam.

Hilary,Obama, and 99% of the other AIPAC controlled politicians don’t care much about Palestinians. They only care about Israel, our “air craft carrier” in the middle east. It’s no accident that they don’t mention the unrelenting construction of illegal settlements in the occupied territory, the illegal phosphorous bombs used on children, the illegal blockade that punishes innocent children and civilians, the murder of Rachel Cory and thousands of other innocents, the arrest of 900+ Gaza invasion protesters in Israel, etc. etc.. Just like everyone in Hitler’s Germany knew what was going on with Jews and others, we all know what is going on with Palestinian suffering and injustice but the power brokers and civilians find it easier to not look or act. We all suffer the consequences of injustice.

Mr. Fish, vcampbell has a good point:making a woman a man-eater, the monster of the old painting, is a sexist pun. Oink.

I really don’t see what is misogynist about Fish’s use of the famous Goya image here. Yes, it’s angry — very angry. It expresses red-hot revulsion for Clinton’s support of Israel’s vicious violence in Gaza.
But I don’t see by what stretch of the imagination you can be so sure that this anger is directed at Hillary Clinton as a woman.
Do you think that any expression of intense anger and condemnation directed at a women holding a powerful position is inherently misogynistic?

Great adaptation of “exactly” what Sec. Clinton is doing with regards to the middle east strategy…thanks! Clinton is solely focused on showing American support for Israel,a terrorist government. With a nod from America, the UN in 53’ “annexed” Palestinian land to give to Israel, the word “annexed” means “to take”. How then can or should anyone look at Israel as actual state (which people want us to…), when that land was “taken” from the Palestinian’s and giving to Israel. Her whole Mideast trip is pathetic joke, that will continue the bloodshed and deaths in that region…..it is truly a shame.
Hamas send puny rockets into Israel and they retaliate by bombing and killing thousands of human beings….and it was sanctioned by our government…absolutely vile.
This is another reason why she is not and can never be a effective “change agent” President. Her trip reminds me of the vileness of the Bush administration’s tactics in that region…again very very sad.
No one cannot deny the atrocities of the Israel government in regards to its action not only in Palestinian territory, but Israels assassination of Yasser Arafat, and then with other powers subsequently installing that no good traitor and puppet Abbas in the position. The facts are the facts…...

To vcampbell - not to interrupt the fury of your wildly genuflecting self-adulation and manic praise for the sort of humanitarian fascism that disdains windmills and adores wind, I should probably tell you that the image of Hillary Clinton is not that of a witch. The drawing is rendered as a visual nod to Goya’s “Saturn Devouring His Son.”

This is the most abjectly misogynist cartoon and image I’ve seen come out of the still-apparently-fairly-male-dominated left in quite awhile (and that’s saying something after our last election cycle). In fact, it is so blatant, that one can’t imagine it wasn’t intentional. And as with most others of this nature, it’s certainly not very good - and presents neither a very sharp or clear satirical comment on much of anything. Like many on the left, I have experienced a great deal of anger at Hillary Clinton for her inexplicable and certainly indefensible hyper-pro-israel stance on the Middle East, just as I have with Obama’s. Yet just as my anger at Obama has never once come close to manifesting itself as anything remotely resembling, say, images of shooting chimpanzees - my anger at Hillary most definitely in no way manifests as a horrifically gigantic, man-heating witch devouring a human figure. Imagine that?... How in the world did this ever get uploaded to this website, for christ’s sake.
And just as the New York Post owed Obama and African-Americans a serious apology (which they never got), TruthDig most certainly owes both Hillary and the female readers of this website one. I mean, good grief - just exactly how blind are you guys…

Mr. Fish, as always on target and raring to go!
Report thisThis administration was elected to change the course of foreign policy and start talking with our enemies.
Yet, as they have already shown by the choices of Rahm Emanuel, chief of staff, Hilary Clinton as Secretary of State, this administration means to, have nothing to do with the legally and morally elected government of Palestine.
As so happens, the Hamas government was elected because of the pressure put on the Palestinian government, the US and Israel, got the government they deserved in Palestine.
Now for some odd reason known only to the governing bodies of the US and Israel, they have chosen not to deal with or have any truck with the legally elected government of Palestine.
Should we now believe that the US and Israel, especially after Operation Cast Lead, will suddenly deal with Hamas as the true government of Palestine?
I seriously doubt that this will happen, the consequences of which will only entrench the Hamas led government even further into the life of the Palestinians.
My guess, the American and Israeli governments will have to eat crow, and change their tune, if they do not, there will be a rebellion of the people on their hands.
