Isn’t it true that bush had the FBI and Fitzgerald shaking people down trying to get something on Obama since well before election day, in hopes of destroying his election bid for president? I mean this arrest of the Governor could have a lot more behind it than meats the eye. Trying to set something up to harm the Democratic party or the president? At this point I’m not sure but I am sure Fitzgerald’s case is weak and based ENTIRELY on recorded TALK with no actual substance of any kind. This should be unprocessable it’s nuts. And the states attorney should at least wait until he is at the very least indicted for heaven’s sake before opening her mouth. He may not even receive an indictment though could well as indictments are relatively easy.
Besides if we’re truly to go after political corruption in this country we need to hit it’s root which is legalized bribery of politicians. There is also evidence of outright theft of government funds within departments and agencies. But if we start by taking all money from elections and making it a felony to give or receive money this would all be a thing of the past. It’s perfectly all right for the two major parties to hold private no public access events at the convention where large corporate contributors literally and legally bribe them. And YES the politicians get to KEEP the money they have left from their election for their personal use.

If this is true, this is another good example of how stupid our political leaders are, and why they have led us off a cliff. It’s time for a third party in this country, time to get rid of Republicans and Democrats..

William DeMente,
This is a blatant case of the FBI spying on a U.S. citizen and treating him like a terrorist.

I agree; this whole trial is a circus; probably, to keep people from seeing corporate and congressional corruption as a whole. After all is said, Congress is more corrupt then Blagojevich.
Andy Martin has some excellent points, the MSM or alternative Media, won’t touch with a ten foot pole.

A point that is becoming all to common with elected persons. If they are caught breaking the law for personal, political or economic gains, it just seems to them :‘SO WHAT’.
Report thisWhile it is no real surprise that someone chooses to gain from his elected position at the expense of the people that elected him, I find it intolerable for one to do so. That is not what our government was created for and you, demente, know and so does everybody else or maybe I am talking out of side of my face because now civics, political science and other social courses are not taught in schools anymore thus making the gains from being in elected office legal and lawful. But it is still unlawful to do so. And I hope that one day the people will be granted with an enforcement of the law to bring those that profit from illegal use of their office to justice.

Report thisAlthough I may not agree or even like what the governor allegedly did, that is the way of politics in the U.S.
If you don’t want the governor to choose a successor to the president-elect, then find another process to choose a successor. As long as the governor has the authority to select a successor, then it should not come as any surprise that some sort of political payoff would be attached to that selection.
