Or the president! Like that would help ... LOL! Why do I hear Roy Orbison singing, It’s Over?

(snippets)
Is a Lean Economy Turning Mean?
You’re used to making $17 an hour with benefits, and now you have to take any job for $8 an hour,” Ms. Flennaugh says.
“I’ve literally sat and cried, but my friends with double degrees are doing worse,” she says. “It’s the economy. It’s really bad.”

The biotech training program was to be a way to jump ahead, putting him (Greg Bailey) in position to earn $17 to $18 an hour, as well as health benefits. But despite applying for about 100 jobs over the last six months, he says, he has never been invited to an interview.

Last summer, a month after the course ended, he went to a job center in East Oakland and was surprised to bump into six of his classmates.

He applied for a minimum-wage job at Wal-Mart, but after two interviews the person doing the hiring was fired, he said, and Mr. Bailey was told that he had to start all over — this for a night shift at a store in an area plagued by crime. Disenchanted, he stopped pursuing a career at Wal-Mart.

“I’ll just look for anything now; it doesn’t matter,” he confided on a recent afternoon.

The next day, he accepted a job at a warehouse for $9 an hour.

Well if Bush said it, it’s gotta be true, LOL!

I’m sorry. It appears your ‘Automatic Cheerleading’ code was written on the cheap. Perhaps by Faux News? Please update your programming to the latest version of ‘Darwin Was Right - Critical Thinking 1.776’ because your ‘NeoCon Domination 1.984’ has expired.

The rerun of the Roman empire (not the movie) known as the USA, uhh…...

The Roman Empire in the first century AD mixed sophistication with brutality and could suddenly lurch from civilization, strength and power to terror…..

The end of the Roman Empire is sometimes placed at…476 AD, when the last emperor of the Western Roman Empire, Romulus Augustus, was deposed and not replaced. Before this date, however, the Empire had been divided into Western and Eastern halves…..

The western empire though, was unable to support itself because of population concerns. As much as 80% of the population was estimated to live in the eastern realm….

After 395, the emperors in the Western Roman Empire were usually figureheads. For most of the time, the actual rulers were military strongmen…..

The Eastern Roman Empire, known today as the Byzantine Empire, preserved Greco-Roman legal and cultural traditions along with Hellenic and Orthodox Christian elements for another millennium, until its eventual collapse with the conquest of Constantinople at the hands of the Ottoman Empire in 1453….

In other words, when you are more pre-occupied with what goes on in Iraq and Jerusalem than in Washington, you are fucked…...!!!
