No, there is no equal of Fidel Castro in politics in the USA. Not even an equal of Saddam Hussein who remade himself after his defeat, loss of his family and his eventual capture and humiliation after the degradation of months in hiding.
One lives on in defiance and a reminder to America of its real intentions and motivations. The other was murdered - silenced after his mockery of a trial lest he become a symbol of the hatred of the US ‘coalition of the willing’s’ invasion and continuing occupation of what was once a prosperous nation.
