Religious hatred is in adbundance in the old testment, but the new was supposed to replace the old, the eye for an eye accouding to Jesus was to stop, also the stoning of women for adultry was to be stopped, I think Jesus realized that men got away with a lot of sin that women could not maybe that is why Mary Madaline was mentioned in the bible.

Most of these zealots prefer to use quotes from the old testament as opposed to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
