Thanks Mr. Fish, I for one got the humor and a chuckle.  I am sure the dems will get the power back in ‘08, then they can be come the “butt” of all jokes.

Perhaps someone could explain to me the humour in this cartoon. It suggests the Democrats are going to discipline the Commander-in-Chimp. Would these be the same Dems who took impeachment off the table, who gave the Chimperor every dollar he’s asked for this year to continue the slaughter in Iraq, the ones who cowered and approved expanded wiretapping when Mike McConnell said “BOO!”? Not bloody likely those Dems will bash anyone.

I understand the phrase “spanking the monkey,” and the Dems certainly are wankers. But the only way to make this cartoon funny is if MonkeyBush’s fingers were tying the Dems’ shoelaces together while they were futilely promising to punish him.

Maybe I’m missing the point. Otherwise, it strikes me as a lame ‘toon.

Mr Fish lets hope the Dems are up for the job. They certainly have conducted themselves as toothless buyouts to date.
