#101134 Antwoine:
It is unfortunate that your hatrred for dogs oozes forth from you. Dogs are much more than toys for humans. Native Americans considered all other living creatures, the four legged, the finned ones and the winged ones as brothers.Somewhere on the road to modern society, man has abused, used, misused and corrupted, what once was a fairly symbiotic relationship with all the creatures of mother earth.Dogs,as you call them have also been used for good purposes like leader dogs for the blind, rescue dogs, search dogs, handicap dogs, companions for the elderly for those who need them as well as for protection. I know more animals with more soul that people walking the planet.Animals would never exploit humans the way humans do animals. It is when anyone regardless of their skin color delibertly abuses animals in dog fighting for the sake of “sport” that this abuse needs to be exposed and stopped. I didn’t know that Michael Vick was black until several days after the news broke. I still would feel the same way if he was green, that this person is a sorry example of a human being. And if Mr. Vick feels he has done nothing wrong or you for that matter,as the attitudes expressed in your comment, you both are to be pitied as you have no empathy for other living things be it human or animal.

This cartoon is in poor taste. At one time in this country dogs were used as weapons of fear and were instrumental in savage acts against black people. The cartoonists or this site has no respect for history and there should have been better judgement on both parts before having this cartton put out to the public. Now you individuals posting comments involving the word nigger and spewing hate as a result. Take some resposibility and ban that person before others feel it is okay to do the same throughtout your site. I understand this cartoon falls under satire standards, but what has all this disdain towards the situation really gotten us as a whole? Nothing. PETA does not go to other countries and fight for dogs that are eaten or treated less than humane. Dog-fighting, cock-fighting, horse racing, Bass hunters, bull-fighting, bird-hunting and more are all considered sport in some form or fashion. Dogs are not human. They are toys of humans and no matter how much a certain part of this society tries to humanize them they will always be dogs. Dogs that are controlled as long as they give love and affection and entertain their owners insecurities because they can’t find a real human to put up with their control issues. Dog-fighting was around before Vick was born and it will still be around while he is in jail, so why not draw a picture of the dogs going after the people who allow it to exist.......and it sure as hell is not a black man who is only 27 years old!

rowdy:  I agree with your comment about the meaninglessness of sports, but is your use of the n-word really justified?

I just thought the readers of this website were a little less ignorant/ racist/ piggish/whatever you’d like to call it.

EW YORK - New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury defended Michael Vick, calling dogfighting a sport and comparing it to hunting. Marbury spoke Monday about the federal dogfighting conspiracy charges against Vick while promoting his basketball shoe in Albany, N.Y. this dumb nigger motherfucker needs to lose his endorsements as well. it amazes me that we call illiterate fools “heroes” or “great athletes” just because they can move a fucking ball around in some fashion. i see professional sports as the equivalent of cheering for general electric over sony or ford over g.m. meaningless shit.

That sick bastard needs to be used as a “practice bait” for all the dogs he used for fighting. For those people who claim he didn’t know what he did was wrong, that excuse is used by to many people of certain groups that they didn’t know better is total bull.I heard this excuse from inmates in the prison I was a guardat.I don’t buy it, I told them."you mean to tell me at 30+ years old you don’t know right from wrong, yet when I would come home from work I could always tell when my 4 month old puppy did something it considered wrong as he would not greet me at the door.A four month old dog is smarter than a lot of the people locked up in prison.Give me a break. The same applies to Michael Vick, he knew better, make him pay. Okay dogs go sic him.
