The most “Holy Shit” moment in my entire life of 50 years was when I first spotted my son’s casket coming out of the cargo hold of a commercial aircraft in October 2005 when he was returned to us 5 days after he was killed in action in Iraq. All my innocence went away. All my reverence for the flag of the USA went away. All my loyalty to the government of America went away. Like Mr. Fish’s child portrayed here, what I saw was no longer what I knew. God damn this war and damn the chicken hawk bastards that pulled it off.
