I myself am in the Air Force and I could care less if gays serve. They are no different than the straight when it comes to doing the job. Now, is the military a place for a gay person to be open about it? I think the mentality of the military couldn’t handle that. The fact is…the military is run by old generals who are stuck in their ways. There is nothing you can do about that. If anyone has not worn the boots of a military man or woman they have no right to bitch. We pay taxes too!

Wow, “old benjamin” really has some issues. Maybe he’s a closet butthole surfer, too? If not, and who would believe him anyway, maybe he’s closely aligned with those queer Nazis (Roehm, for example) who protest too much?

Re#58742 and 58814 by old ‘dang it’s hot and sweaty in this closet’ benjamin:
Oh, you brute! Two manly comments! Had to open the door to your closet twice today to do that, eh?
Like the thought of “asshole,” old bennie-boy? Does the brown-eye so attract you that you have to use it as your best perjorative? Or is it because you just can’t stop thinking of those brown-eyes between those buns of soldier’s steel?
Don’t worry, Twinkie-boy, there are lots of friends in the self-loathing closet to keep you company. Just check out Johnny. You could hold hands together in Ted Haggard’s camp. Then you can both share your fixation on the “fecal material” that comes from those lovely brown-eyes you so deeply lust after.
Remember, benjielove, too much protest about “homo’s” (sic) shows an obssession that will eventually light your closet up and the world will see you as you are: another hypocrite who scans Twinkie porn with one hand under the desk while louding denouncing his objects of taboo lust…those guys in turbans really dig that, as hypocrisy is the favorite of any fanatic cruising the river of denial.

Some of the most immoral acts I have seen have been performed by men in the military. Wife beatings, adultry, child abuse, murder, and incest are just a few. (yes, I have personal knowledge/experience with all those). And I have been raped (I am a man) twice, both by U.S. sailors.
These idiots think just because the “wear the uniform,” it gives them carte blanche to open their zipper and whip it out whenever. I say f*ck all those who are so stupid as to join the corporate military.
Besides, I pay their salary, so I’m the boss.

Oh the hypocrisy of the bastards.
Remember Jesus is Bush’s favorite philosopher. Nevermind that Jesus preached peace and non-violence. This doesn’t stop Bush from hiding behind his religiousosity while ordering cluster bombs to fall on women and children. Dittos for the self described “Chosen People’ who enslave Palestinians while praying and knocking their heads up against a wall in the “Holy City.”
God save us from religious people.

You are a particularly hideous genetic mutation. You have the intelligence of a minnow, the moral fiber of a jellyfish, the charm of a barracuda, and the refined taste of a catfish. What’s more your “art” stinks like a three day old mackerel. Your putrid carcass isn’t worth the fecal material in a U.S. Armed Forces latrine. One G.I. is worth a thousand empty-headed “cartoonists” that couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper sack. Thank God this country isn’t dependent on the likes of Marxist morons like you for its defense. Move to San Franfreako with the rest of your pansy pals and secede from the Union. When bin laden comes knocking, draw another cartoon vilifying those guys who dig chicks. Those guys in turbans really dig homo’s.

Re#58524 by John Love those soldier’s biceps Lowell:
Again with the “immorality and disorder that is active homosexuality” eh, Johnny-boy? Doesn’t it just get to you, those hot, sweaty, buffed-up young men….
You’re just another Ted Haggard, crying out because you have such trouble fighting your own birthright: Twinkie-boy of the highest, most gulping order.
If you’re citing morals from that book of porn called the bible, try again: it’s the most immoral filth ever penned by pederasts. You’re not citing any reputable medical or psychiatric text or journal to qualify simple sexuality a “disorder,” so how are you justified in calling it that?
Your own shame and self-loathing isn’t enough of a source, either, Twinkie-boy. Denial of one’s OWN sexual preferences IS a disorder, though, which could be why you are so compelled to make such jackass statements in the hope no one will notice the sweat on your upper lip when you see those brave, buff boys….One doesn’t cancel the other, Twinkie-boy, sorry.

He ought to read what Barry Goldwater said about Gays in the military. He supported it.

The Dr. Strangelove comment is spot on! I’ll give you another one that immediately came to mind. Arlo Guthrie in Alice’s Restaurant when questioned about his “criminal record” by the draft board. Paraphrasing: ‘You’re asking me if I’m moral enough to join the army… after being a litterbug?’

There are other ways to say it, but you are a real asshole says it best. May you rot in hell.

How can you call something immoral, even if people are gay or leabian, does that mean that they all engage in sex all the time, you know if they got married than what they do is not immoral, people have to remember that people do not choose to be gay, just because gay parents have children will the children become gay, I think not because you are born that way, no one chooses to say I like being gay, this is supposed to be a free country.
But you are free only if you are like the rest of the people, able to marry and have children and pay taxes, well a lot of people can do that but don’t pass judgement, unless you yourself will be judged.

Nowhere in General Pace’s comments did I see anything about preventing homosexuals from going to Iraq and Afghanistan to die in the service of their country. Presumably, since they are “immoral”, their dying is of small consequence compared to the usefulness of the killing they might accomplish while waiting for God’s punishment.

In response to John Lowell:
Pace’s moral dispositions will effect the public policy of a secular state. Secular state policy is not supposed to be formed by religious dogma. Demonstrate, therefore, that homosexuality is immoral without recourse to religious dogma.
I am highly skeptical of your capacity to do so.

Oh man! Talk about living in denial! Coming from a 38 year military background (as a “dependent” - isn’t that a charming word for daughter and wife?) this guy’s head would explode at how many gays ARE in the military! And fine warriors they are! Not just “service men and women”, warriors. Who have brains and use them. Who know when to put down the sword and silently watch over the rest of us as we use our plowshares in peace. Who know war is a last resort, not the first. Who can only speak up in private, knowing the stupidity and utter horror of these “men of power” who only want personal glory and, mostly, money in their pockets from their time in office.
Semper Fi all of you who live in secrecy and serve well and true! And, thank you. Truly.

The most powerful military in history is afraid it might come unglued worrying about whether it can hold on to a bar of soap.
By John Lowell, March 14, 2007 at 6:49 am Link to this comment
Ah, yes, the dodgeball playing Mr. Fish. Sorry, Fishey, it simply isn’t enough to distract attention from the truth of Pace’s remark about the immorality and disorder that is active homosexuality and truth of this nation’s own immorality expressed in its Iraq aggression. One doesn’t cancel out the other, sorry.

To me, there is an absolute correlation between the cartoon, and the scene in “Dr. Strangelove” where George C. Scott, playing General ‘Buck’ Turgidson, gets into a verbal altercation with the Russian Ambassador in the War Room. The American President, played by Peter Sellers, shouts at them: “Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here. This is the war room.”

Invasion war is the most IMMORAL. Also all the brats used young troops as flesh ladders for them to move up are IMMORAL ! There’re very very few generals died in the battle fields but a huge number of troops have been sacrificed ! All stars on generals’shoulders were shinning by troops bloods ! Isn’t it IMMORAL or not ?
