The official flag of the kkk is the U.S. Flag.

The Confederate Battle Flag represents all Southern, and even Northern, Confederates regardless of race or religion and is the symbol of less government, less taxes, and the right of the people to govern themselves. It is flown in memory and honor of our Confederate ancestors and veterans who willingly shed their blood for Southern independence.

The comments by Democratic Senator George Allen demonstates that racism has never been the exclusive province of one political party.

Isn’t it time for Virginians to show the nation and the world, by voting Senator Allen into political oblviion that, as Democrats, Republicans, or Independents, his racist attitude and comments are a sad and tragic exception in Virginian politics…...and not the rule?

Yo Jon. The difference between Allen’s avowed racism and Bob Byrd’s former racism is that Byrd admits it and has atoned for it. What does Macaca do?? He makes jokes about ham sandwiches.  As a flaming liberal living in Virginia, I cannot wait until former Senator Macaca is working in a shop on Virginia Beach selling confederate flags and nooses to summer beach goers.

Sadly, even with Allen’s proven duplicity,  the State of Virginia will send him back to the Senate.  One can only conclude that the State of Virginia is filled with bigots.

I’d love to see an exposé on the role that the KKK played in the G.O.P.‘s ongoing Southern Strategy, a low-profile “grassroots” campaign in which Republicans convinced white Southern racists to vote Republican because they’re the party that will help undo all that pesky civil rights legislation under the banner of states’ rights. G.O.P. reps must have spoken at hundreds of Klan rallies, and they probably still do. Someone needs to go undercover with a camcorder.

SENATOR BYRD AND HIS KKK PALS

Which U.S. Senator is a former member of the Ku Klux Klan?

Which U.S. Senator wasn’t just a member of the KKK but was a “Kleagle”—an official recruiter who signed up members for $10 a head?

Which U.S. Senator said he joined because it “offered excitement” and because the Klan was an “effective force” in “promoting traditional American values.”

Which U.S. Senator wrote the following, three years after he claims to have ended his ties with the KKK: “The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia” and “in every state in the Union.”

Which U.S. Senator also wrote that he would never fight “with a Negro by my side. Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.”

Which U.S. Senator later filibustered the landmark 1964 Civil Rights Act—supported by a majority of those “mean-spirited” Republicans—for more than 14 hours.

Which U.S. Senator opposed the nominations of the Supreme Court’s two black justices, liberal Thurgood Marshall and conservative Clarence Thomas.

Which U.S. Senator warned last year on national television: “There are white niggers. I’ve seen a lot of white niggers in my time. I’m going to use that word. We just need to work together to make our country a better country, and I’d just as soon quit talking about it so much.”

I’ll give you a hint. It wasn’t Strom Thurmond or Trent Lott. But he says it was a “mistake” and, more importantly, he’s a democRAT, so it’s o.k.

The world knows who really is Allen behind that thin veneer. The outcome of this senate race will tell who are the Virginia voters.

It would interesting to see if voters reject a racist in our government.

Yes, isn’t it amazing how Senator Allen is still confused??  What will it take, an arrest at an attempted lynching?

But I forget, we aretaking about Virginia…
