The media sucks in many many ways, nothing much new there.
I was riding home today listening to an NPR station and they had a New York Times correspondent reporting from Mexico. His voice dripped with sarcasm and disgust as he reported on the teachers strike. What is disgusting is that most all of the media is extremely right wing. I am always saying thank god for Democracy Now to get some semblance of honesty and balance.

E! News, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Extra, The Insider, Oprah Winfrey, MSNBC, Fox News and CNN...all American newsgathering institutions in their own right...and the envy of reporters, journalists and newsrooms around the world, will be proud to lead off (and dominate) with this breaking story.
It’s just a pity that another American icon of newsgathering acumen, with long years of experience in the field, and at great personal risk, in many war zones and other areas of great human conflict and crisis, will fall only a week shy of bieng able to bring us this essential news item, from their own, much-deserved new position of CBS Evening News Anchor...Katie Couric.

With the media keeping us informed like this, it shouldn’t take much effort to steer our votes where they’ll most benefit the truly greedy.
