politicians
rarely do they represent the people who elected them
when are they going to COME HOME—where everyday people are at?

B-bu-but we have to get ELECTED first, before we can DO anything ... and then we have to STAY elected in order to DO anything! Which means we have to pay attention to not offending folks to the point where they don’t VOTE for us ... I mean, you gotta UNDERSTAND two party politics ... ‘cuz if you don’t understand THAT ... well, then, you’ll never get anything DONE.

Ya gotta comppromise with folks ... that’s just the way it is. And wishing things were different or nothing like that is gonna change things ‘round here ... ya hear?

Y’all listen to me, now. We can get some things done if y’all’ll listen to me.

...That’s right. Mark Twain once quipped “The lie will never be dead as long as Congress is in session.” But for every person who sees them for what they are, equivocators and panderers at best, liars and felons at worst; there are legions who do not. Therein lies their assured continuance. Particularly the likes of Smilin’ Joe Biden.
