PITTS SPEAKS VOLUMES----
“Just give moral and mental cover to that small-minded, anti-intellectual strain of the electorate which recoils like Superman in the face of Kryptonite from complexity and incertitude. And when people call you on it, just wrap yourself in the flag and declare yourself a straight-shootin’ conservative under siege by that mean ol’ liberal media.” Leonard Pitts, Miami Herald
Enough said??

So much for “They’ll welcome us with flowers”, and “The oil will pay for the cost of the War”.
In adition to the 2400+ Americans killed, and the many thosands wounded, how many more will be sickened and die from the use of DU?
Over 10,000 soldiers died from Gulf War Syndrome from the LAST Bush War, and most of them can be directly traced to DU exposure. My brother was one of them.
Many more thousands are severely disabled.
60 percent of the GW vets that have fathered kids since then have kids with birth defects.
Civilians are still suffering from that war, too. High cancer rates, birth defects, you name it.
And all for a lie, and for the GREED of the Bush “empire”.

Another 72 billion..total 320 billion...and nothing really gets rebuilt, our troops still don’t get the body or truck armour they need..I think it is just a big money laundering scheme..Congress appropiates money (we don’t have, to be paid back by our children and grandchildren) the funds go to the Pentagon, to the DOD, and is given out to defense contractors like, MZM, Custer-Battles, Halliburton..etc, which over bill their no bid contracts, (no over site by a Republican majority Congress)..then these defense contractors use their funds to “bribe” willing Congressmen and House Reps,(for personal use, campaign funds, or fancy meals, call girls, lavish suites and golf trips) who in turn vote for more emergency funds for Iraq...and the cycle starts all over again...and of course any one who asks questions about this set up is unpatriot, unamerican, terrorist supporters...NEAT

If you’re talking about the civilian Iraqi body count, that number is way off. It’s more like a mimimum of 100,000. Read the full story in Project Cencored 2006.

All I can say is I am sorry that 2405 people had to die for a lie. I’m sorry 17,469 got wounded for a lie. I made it back and am thankful for this, but I am still angery that I missed out on my daughter for a lie. The nightmares I have and the uneasiness with regular life all because of a lie. Yet the war machine is still lying and driving along.
