Advertisement New and Improved CommentsWe are launching a major overhaul of our comments section. In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread. Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts. Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with. Please direct any problems or concerns to us via our contact page. |

S.D. just sent a bill to the governor to ban all abortions, no exceptions. he probably will not veto it. Typically republican, they did not ask the voter, because they know whats best for us. (shades of the white house) when you try to run a government based on right wing religious emotionalism, such as many middle east countries, affairs will fall apart in a hurry. The main problem is these people are not concerned for human life. as soon as the child is born they walk away, having already eliminated all family services and assistance programs the child might need. real love there eh? if they love human life as they claim, why are they not demanding that Bush stop the slaughter in the mid east and bring the troops home. a major problem in american politics is the powerful influence of right wing religious peddlars. the faithful are unable to question their leadership, so continue to vote republican against their own best interests. We desperately need cartoons and political lampooning ridiculing religious leadership like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell and the political leaders who follow them. If we cannot break their iron grip on us, we will be following in the footsteps of Iran. Barrie Johnson .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
