Me thinks punkdudeus ought to go live near Hanford in WA for a while…..you might get some of the fun diseases my friends have, but hey! what’s a “little” radiation among friends.

At least Obama didn’t vote for the Iraq war (although his stance on J. Alito was a pisser).

you realize that storing nuclear waste in yucca mountain isn’t THAT dangerous.  there’s very little chance that any radiation would sink into the ground water because there’s no chain reaction taking place to cause fission enoug to where the containers would melt or leak.  any radiation that would leak out other wise would cause so little damage it wouldn’t be observable. 20% of people get cancer normally, if some radiation were to cause any mutations in people (again unlikeley) it would create less than a .1 percent chance that it would happen in any one.  so voting for yucca mountain isn’t such an environmental atrocity; if anything, continuing to use coal and natural gas causes more harm than nuclear power; it’s an irrational fear that needs to be overcome to get better energy.

I just reviewed Sen. Obama’s voting record as a U.S. Senator and I don’t find the “Bush Oil Plan” or the “Yucca Mountain Toxic Waste Dump”.  I can tell you that he votes pretty much along Democrat Party lines and after meeting him several years ago as an Illinois congressman, he’s not your typical politician either.

Barak Obama?  You mean the guy that voted for Bush’s Oil Plan and the Yucca Mountain toxic waste dump, among other enviromental atrocities.  That Obama?  Sure, just what we need.  Another oily bastard for prez.
